Wuzerac
(Chinese five-spice meets the 1860s Sazerac)

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Cognac
  • 1/3 oz five-spice syrup (recipe below)
  • 3-4 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Lemon peel

Shake all ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker, then strain into a rocks glass. Twist a piece of lemon peel on top.
